The program was sponsored by Ambika Foundation, Indore, MP with an objective to find out per hectare yield of Kharif crop mainly rice and income of the farmers form agriculture. This program was implemented in Garhwa, Meral, Dandai, Nagar Untari, Kandi and Majhiyav blocks of Garhwa district in Jharkhand. In a crop cutting examination program, 4 farmers were selected in each panchayat on a random basis. 130 Panchayats and 520 Farmers were covered under this crop cutting examination. 1 decimal Kharif cropland was also taken on a random basis. The yield of the crop, its market value and farmer income from agriculture were examined. This data can now be used for improved government plan and policies for the betterment of agriculture.
